In the latest beta update for WhatsApp, the company has removed the function to save profile images on Android devices. It is also part of the beta version of WhatsApp for iPhone as well. However, the WhatsApp for iPhone gets a new update. The iPhone users can now preview stickers directly in the Notification Centre. Users can also long-press a WhatsApp notification to see the received stickers in their full size. The new changes come days after WhatsApp was spotted developing a Night Mode to reduce eyestrain.

According to a tweet by @WABetaInfo, WhatsApp removed the ability to save profile photos in the beta version for Android. Check his tweet below;

We usually get a sharing option whenever we open someone’s profile photo. Tapping the share button brings more option to save the image directly into the gallery or share it to various social media channels. But, with the new update, this feature is removed.
