Steps to Track Android Phone Using Google’s Find My Device
Part 1 – Enable “Find my Device” in your Android device
Step 1: Go to your device Settings > Security.
Step 2: Tap on Device Administrators.
Step 3: Make sure that Find my Device toggle button is on.
Step 4: Now turn on the location services.
Step 5: Go to Setting and tap on Location and the toggle button will turn on.
Step 6: Then click on Mode and select the option High Accuracy.
Step 7: Scroll down Tap on Google Location History.
Step 8: Tap on the toggle button near Use Location History which will turn it on. You will see the list of devices you want to locate simply tap on the toggle buttons near them.
Part 2 – Finding a lost Android device using a browser and “Find my Device”
Step 1: Go to the website Android.com/find from any browser from any device.
Step 2: Now login using your Google profile which was used in your device which is lost.
Step 3: If you have multiple Android devices running with the same Google id, select the one you want to locate from the list.
Step 4: Once you select the device there are the following actions you can perform,
- Remotely ring the device – It will play the sound for 5 minutes continuously even if the device is in silent mode.
- Lock the device and display a message on lock screen – It will help you to display your phone number on the screen.
- Wipe the device completely – It will delete all of your data including your google id from the device and you will not be able to locate your device anymore.
