Android O Emoji for Any Android Device | Download

One of the many changes that were announced for Android in the Google IO yesterday is the new Emoji Standard for Android. Gone are those old weird-looking emojis that are going to replaced by new simpler ones. While I still prefer the EmojiOne (the ones found in iPhones) emojis, the new Android emoji’s are far better than the old ones. I still can’t see why Google can’t just the EmojiOne Standard are the default standard for Android as well! What does this mod offer?

This mod will replace the current emoji’s on your Android device with the new ones announced with the Android O Developer Preview 2. Take a look at the sample comparison below:

As already stated in the beginning of the article, there are two versions of the mod.

  1. Type 1 – Requires Magisk Module: Requires Magisk installed, and will work systemlessly, without modifying the system partition of your device. – Recommended by the developer.
  2. Type 2 – Requires Custom Recovery: Replaces the system font inside your device, so making a backup of it before is highly recommended.

Install Android O Developer Preview 2 Emoji

Magisk Module Version

  1. Copy the file downloaded from the above link to your phone memory.
  2. Open the Magisk Manager app.
  3. Go to ‘Modules’ section and tap the ‘+’ button.
  4. Select the downloaded zip file that you copied in the first step.
  5. Once the installation is complete, reboot your device if suggested by the Magisk Manager.
  6. Done!

Flashable Zip Version

  1. Copy the file downloaded from the above link to your phone memory.
  2. Reboot your device into recovery mode.
  3. Tap on ‘Install’. Navigate to and select the download file.
  4. ‘Swipe to install’ and once the installation is complete, reboot your device.
  5. Done!
