Asus Zenfone 6 tipped to offer Snapdragon 855 SoC, 5,000mAh battery, 48MP camera

Asus has announced its latest flagship model the Zenfone 6. It will be launched at a gala event on May 16th in Valencia, Spain. But what’s more interesting is that it is tipped to be powered by the beast Snapdragon 855 Chipset. This tip was confirmed by Asus itself, as they shared an image on Twitter confirming the same.

The tweet also confirms more about the device, It is also confirmed that the Asus Zenfone 6 will come with Notification LED. This flagship will also house a 3.5 mm Audio jack at the bottom of the phone beside the USB-C charging port. If you look closely, you can also see that it has a Smart Key on the right side of the smartphone which is accompanied by the Volume Rocker and Power button. As per the tweeted image, you can also see that the Zenfone 6 will have triple slots for 2 SIM cards and 1 micro SD card.

Additionally, more information was shared by an Asus executive to BGR regarding the specifications of the phone. But, that information was shared as a Morse code via Instagram. AndroidPure decoded the Morse code and said that there will be a dual camera set up at the rear which will be a combination off a 48MP and 13MP sensor.

Moreover, it is also expected to house a 5000 mAH battery, with a notch-less display as per one of the company event teasers. The display will be of 2340×1080 pixel resolution and will be running on Android 9 Pie.

As for the price it is expected that the 6GB RAM/128GB storage variant of Zenfone 6 will be priced at approx. INR45,000 and the 8GB RAM/256GB storage variant will cost around INR54,100. There will be a third variant which will pack 12GB RAM/512GB storage which will cost approximately around INR67,700. We will have to wait until the launch to get the exact figures on price.
